Liam Payne and Harry Styles of the red hot boy band One Direction may have gotten chlamydia – but not in the way you might think.
It seems the pair may have contracted the disease after being urinated on by koala bears while in Australia.
After learning that about 80 percent of all koalas carry chlamydia, the former X Factor finalists – who are currently touring down under – were told that they may have been given the disease after a three-year-old koala named Kat peed on them at Brisbane sanctuary.
Liam Payne, 18, says: “I’m genuinely scared. This is worrying. I’d have never picked the thing up if I’d known.”
The widespread disease is thought to be a key threat to the survival of the marsupial species. It’s highly unlikely, though, for a human to contract the disease from coming into contact with koalas.
Just goes to show you – when you’re a rock star, you’ve always got to use protection!
