Apple has pulled the plug on the South Park iPhone app.  Why?  Well, the bigger question is, why kill the South Park app while letting things like iFart badgeitunes61x15dark and Pull My Finger badgeitunes61x15dark through?

The app, which was first announced in October and submitted to the App Store shortly thereafter, has formally been rejected after several attempts to get it through, South Park team members tell BoingBoing.  The reason is that the content was “potentially offensive,” says the Apple team, adding that they gave them several chances for acceptance later as the App Store’s policies evolved.

Okay, but Apple has an NC-17 rating for its apps.  Apple also sells South Park episodes on iTunes, so this is all very strange.

Part of the South Park app does evidently allow users to stream episodes of the show, so maybe that’s why Apple rejected it, as CNET notes.

Still, something seems fishy.

Well, just because Matt & Trey won’t be banking on the App Store, doesn’t mean that you can’t.

Did you know that you can learn to make your own iPhone apps and sell them for profit?  Joel Comm made $40,000 on Christmas Day thanks to the iFart application.

If you want to know how to get it on the action, just go get iStormer, and learn to bank with iPhone apps.
