In the story that just wouldn’t die department, Barack Obama has now chimed in and called Kanye West a “jackass” for rudely taking the stage at the VMA’s during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech after she had won the award for Best Female Video on Sunday.
Kanye West grabbed the microphone from a stunned Taylor Swift and said that Beyoncé Knowles should have won the award. Kanye has since apologized for his behavior.
Speaking “off the record” prior to a press conference, President Obama condemned West’s actions.
“I thought that was really inappropriate,” he said. “She was getting an award, why are you butting in? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she’s getting her award, what’s he doing up there? He’s a jackass.”
Maybe President Obama is upset that Kanye interrupted him too, of all people.
