Nationals Marlins Brawl

Washington Nationals center fielder Nyjer Morgan is making a name for himself, and not in a good way.

Morgan was already looking at a seven-game suspension for hurling a ball into the stands at a fan, but with this latest incident, we wouldn’t be surprised if MLB sends him packing for the remainder of the 2010 season.

Let’s take a look at what’s gone down just in the last week.  Nyjer Morgan has elbowed St. Louis Cardinals catcher Bryan Anderson, slammed into Florida Marlins catcher Brett Hayes (he dislocated Hayes’ shoulder), and last night he was ejected for charging the mound.

Marlins pitcher Chris Volstad threw a pitch behind Morgan, and he decided it was a good time to charge. The benches cleared and we got to see a legendary brawl of epic proportions.

“I thought it was over after (the fourth inning), but once I saw the ball go right behind me, it’s time to go,” Morgan said “Once is good enough, but twice, no, it’s time to go.”
