Fail Nation: A Visual Romp Through the World of Epic Fails.

The NFL is playing dirty.

The National Football League is using some pretty "black hat" tactics to get the low-down on potential draftees: checking out the social networking profiles of potential draft picks.

Nothing wrong with that, you might say.  Lots of employers already do so.

Yes, but not like this.

NFL personnel are creating accounts on Facebook that look to belong to attractive women. They then proceed to send friend requests and messages to the players they are scouting.

Once the potential NFL star accepts it, the teams checking them out can look into their personal information and photos. As you can imagine, this could spell big trouble if there is anything risque floating around on their profiles.

So far, executives from three NFL teams have admitted that they've used these tactics to gain information. Worse, they also implied that this is a tactic that is likely used by the investigative sources of all teams.

I suppose next the NFL will start spamming and phishing too.
