F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

"Keep plucking that chicken."

That's what Ernie Anasotos meant to say while live on the air for WNYW news in New York. What actually came out, however, was an F-Bomb that has since gone viral on Facebook and the internet.

Anastos has apologized for the incident.

The news anchor was joking with the weatherman on Wednesday when he gleefully dropped a huge F-bomb while live on the air. What he was trying to say was, "Keep plucking that chicken."

Anastos didn't appear to catch the slip initially, although co-anchor Dari Alexander's eyes practically bugged out of her head after he said it.

Just prior to the flub, Anastos told weatherman Nick Gregory, "It takes a tough man to make a tender forecast," a play on an old Perdue chicken commercial.

Video clips of the mistake circulated like wildfire via the internet on Thursday, as the phrase took on a life of its own.

Lew Leone, the vice president and general manager of WNYW, said he's "disappointed" in Anastos' comment. Anastos apologized during the news broadcast on Thursday.

"I misspoke during last night's newscast," he said. "I apologize for my remarks to anyone who may have been offended."
