Remember that New Yorker magazine cover we showed you a few days ago...the one that was created using only the Brushes iPhone app?
Well, that cover has given a pretty hefty boost to sales for Steve Sprang, 32, who devotes his free time to developing applications for the iPhone and Mac...including the Brushes app.
On Monday, Sprang said that the app had its highest-selling day ever in Apple’s App Store, selling 2,700 copies at $4.99 apiece.
“That’s even bigger than when Apple featured the application on iTunes,” said Sprang. He adds that, on average, the application sells about 60 to 70 copies each day.
To date, the application has sold around 40,000 copies, he said.
So you see, the App Store can make you rich. Here's how you can do it yourself.
