Google has just turbocharged their "local maps" feature.
Instead of only showing the first ten results on the map, Google will show dozens of red circles, or possibly even hundreds.
Even THAT may not do the trick as the official Google announcement is entitled, "1,000 is the new 10.”
All of the red circles below are clickable, basically giving many more local businesses exposure to the first page on Google Maps.
The text display next to the map will continue to show just the first 10 businesses, however.
The map below is what you get when you search for "coffee in Seattle". Wow...
