NASA recently did an overhaul on the Hubble Telescope. The new Hubble photos that were released today are absolutely stellar, literally.
NASA invested nearly one billion dollars to give the Hubble a facelift. It appears that it was money well spent.
Last May, NASA commissioned a team of scientists to perform some celestial repair procedures on the 19-year old telescope. The 13-day mission resulted in the repair of older equipment and the installation of some new instruments. This new super-camera (A.K.A. “spectograph”) is what was used to take the phenomenal new Hubble photos released today by the space agency.
Have a look for yourself. They are sure to take your breath away.
