F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
The NCAA has ruled that Facebook groups established by college students to lure high school student athletes violate their recruiting policies. The NCAA prohibits fans from recruiting players and these Facebook groups do just that.
NC State has issued a cease-and-desist letter to freshman Taylor Moseley to close down a Facebook group encouraging high school basketball phenom John Wall to make the Wolfpack his college team of choice.
Is this really recruiting, though, or is this just expressing hope? Has the NCAA made a fair ruling or is this censorship in its purest form? Fans can't express their desire for an athelete to come to their university?
Funny, I thought this was America.
