NBC is shaking up its late night schedule.

Jay Leno is in.  Conan O’Brien is out – perhaps.

“The Jay Leno Show” which airs at 10 p.m. will go on hiatus as of February 1, in time for the Olympics.  When he returns to television, Leno will get his 11:30 p.m. time slot back.

It still hasn’t been determined whether Jay will get a half hour and Conan will get a half hour or whether Jay will get the full hour to himself, leaving Conan on the outside looking in.

Still another possibility would see Conan O’Brien getting his “Late Night” slot back at 12:30 a.m. and the network parting ways with Jimmy Fallon.

One thing is for sure, the late night landscape just got a whole lot more interesting.
