Natalie Portman has taken a step into the world of social media. Portman has just launched Making Of, a new social media site dedicated to the film industry.
MakingOf is being marketed as a social networking site for those interested in the movie-making industry. The site is said to provide interviews, film information, and community features.
While the idea is a sound one, the problem is that the site has almost no content whatsoever. As Mashable points out, "Most of the sections under the 'insiders' tab are without a single interview or blog post, while others only have one or two interviews."
There are surely users interested in film and movie-making, but as of right now there is no message board, social network, or other important social media features on the site.
MakingOf is still in beta, so maybe they are still working out the kinks...
