Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell could be in a heap of trouble.

The supermodel is wanted by the NYPD for questioning after allegedly slapping and assaulting her driver in Manhattan today.

Campbell, 39, in a Cadillac Escalade around 3 p.m. EST when she had a disagreement with her driver that led to an altercation.  Reports indicate that she reached over the front seat and assaulted the driver before exiting from the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The driver, 27, proceeded to call 911 and reported the attack.  His identity hasn’t been released and he did sustain some injuries.

There is currently no warrant out for Campbell’s arrest but police are eager to speak with her about the incident.

Campbell has a history of temper tantrums.

In 2007, she did community service after pleading guilty to hitting former maid Ana Scolavino with a telephone.  Solavino received treatment for a head injury and needed four stitches.

Campbell was ordered to pay Scolavino’s medical expenses, do five days of community service, and go to an anger-management program.

Also, in January 2009, Campbell settled with Gaby Gibson, another former maid who accused Campbell of abuse.

“Sometimes I was out of my breath. I didn’t know what to expect,” Gibson said in 2007. “If I didn’t have to work for money I would have quit that place after a couple of days.”

Gibson said the final straw took place when Campbell lost a pair of designer jeans and had a hissy fit.

“I didn’t hear her coming from behind and she charged against my back of the head,” Gibson said. “I said, ‘Wow, what is this for?’ I said, ‘I don’t understand. Why you hit me for?’ She said, ‘To teach you a lesson not to steal no more.’”

Gibson quit and filed a lawsuit against Campbell 10 months later seeking punitive damages. Terms of their settlement were never revealed.

“She has to be stopped,” Gibson says. “Everybody is quiet. Everybody say nothing and somehow she is going away with everything and she enjoys it.”
