Just one month after asking the Naked Cowgirl to stop ripping off his act, the Naked Cowboy is suing her.
Robert Burck says that Sandy Kane is hurting his brand, a brand that he’s built via more than ten years of strumming his guitar wearing nothing but briefs and a cowboy hat. Burck makes as much as $1,000 per day working Times Square from mid-morning to early afternoon.
Kane struts around Times Square wearing a bikini, a cowboy hat and playing her own guitar.
The lawsuit filed by Burck on Wednesday asks the courts to prevent Kane from doing anything that would infringe upon Burck’s trademark.
Kane is a former stripper who’s now a part of the city’s comedy scene. Her real name is Sandra Brodsky and she maintains that she says she doesn’t owe Burck a single penny, as does her attorney.
