Check out these Unusually Stupid Celebrities.
As we have been discussing for a week or two now, MySpace has finally unveiled its PPC advertising platform. Officially called MyAds, the new self-serve ad system is only allowing display ads for now, unlike Facebook, which allows text-based advertising.
For now, advertisers can choose between a 728 x 90 advertisment or a 300 x 250 spot. The system allows you to upload your own graphic, or create one from scratch with their proprietary ad builder.
MyAds does seem to be somewhat similar to AdWords and Facebook Ads, in that the click-through rate can influence your overall cost. The real blockbuster here though, as we mentioned before, is that these ads can be hyper-targeted. You want to advertise only to Family Guy fans? Just select that demographic. Male cycling enthusiasts? Go for it.
While my initial efforts with the system weren't that lucrative, things are starting to turn around now that I'm getting used to how it works.
Go check it out and take MyAds for a test drive.
Now, stop reading. Start making money.
