Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron was your Miss America 2010 winner last night, after showing off her body in a scorching hot yellow dress.

Cameron, 22, is from Fredericksburg, Va. She won the grand prizes of a $50,000 scholarship and the Miss America crown in a contest held in Las Vegas, beating out 53 other competitors. She managed to outshine the others in a swimsuit competition, evening gown competition, talent competition and an interview.

The Miss Virginia contestant is currently studying broadcast journalism at Virginia Commonwealth University. She hopes to eventually become a news anchor. During her interview, she was asked about fighting childhood obesity. Cameron responded that parents need to limit TV as well as video games.

“We need to get our kids back outside, playing with sticks in the street like I did when I was little,” she said. “Expand your mind, go outside and get to see what this world is like.”

Caressa Cameron said that her win was a testament to the strength of her family.

“You can be and become anything that you want to be, even Miss America,” she said.

Miss California Kristy Cavinder was the first runner-up and landed a $25,000 prize.
