It seems there’s one less celebrity power couple in the universe today, as word has it that Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly have split up.
A rep for the Friday Night Lights actress has confirmed the split, but added that it was an amicable one. Jeter, 37, and Kelly, 31, had been dating for about three years.
Kelly, who’s been in Miami filming ABC’s Charlie’s Angels remake, was at Yankee Stadium last month when Jeter collected his 3,000th hit.
Last month, HBO ran a special entitled Deter Jeter 3K, a documentary that chronicles Jeter’s feat of becoming only the second player to reach 3,000 hits as a shortstop, the first being Honus Wagner.
