Mine That Bird: 2009 Kentucky Derby Winner (Video)

Mine That Bird pulled off a victory in the 135th Kentucky Derby Saturday in a shocking upset on a muddy track at Churchill Downs.

Mine That Bird overcame 50-1 odds and became the 2nd-biggest underdog ever to win the big race.

The horse was acquired for just $9,500 and defeated several other horses worth millions of dollars. Jockey Calvin Borel helped Mine That Bird become the 2009 Kentucky Derby winner as the horse pulled away from the pack on an amazingly fast stretch run, winning by nearly seven lengths.
