It seems like this happens about once a year, doesn’t it?
People in Washington, D.C. went into a frenzy over what they thought was a UFO sitting on a flatbed truck along the Capitol Beltway.
Turns out the object was just a military drone.
What drivers actually saw yesterday along I-270, and later along I-495, was an X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System being taken from Edwards Air Force Base in California to the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland for testing.
During its journey through the D.C. area, Twitter was afire with comments on the strange-looking craft.
You may recall that, last year, a drone being transported to Pax River was also mistaken for a UFO.
