F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

As if the juggernaut that is Starbucks needed any help.

Four days ago, Miley Cyrus posted the following tweet from her cell phone to her Twitter account:

“helplessly and hopelessly wondering around ny trying to find a starbucks.”

She then went on to supplement her tweet by uploading this picture to her TwitPic account:

Wow.  Just wow.

Imagine how much free press Starbucks just got.

Remember, Miley Cyrus has over 135,000 Twitter followers.  We are standing at the precipice of a new era in marketing.

If you are on the fence about whether or not it's time to embrace technology and all that social media has to offer, stop waiting.  Bold, new social media campaigns are being rolled out every day.

I can only imagine what kind of surge in sales Starbucks will see over the coming weeks as a result of this.

At least she wasn't making any "goofy faces" this time.
