Twitter is having a rough weekend.

A second exploit has been released bearing the name of the 17-year-old who allegedly created yesterday’s StalkDaily worm.

The difference, however, is that this attack seems to be more of a distraction than anything else.  The only thing it does is post unwanted messages.

The “mikeyy” worm posted messages into user’s Twitter accounts earlier today by utilizing most of the same technique as the previous worm.

To keep your computer safe, you should stop visiting Twitter profiles on the website for now, as this where the problem begins. In fact, you should probably use a third party application until the situation is all clear. You might try TweetDeck or Seesmic Desktop for now.

You should also disable javascript in your browser, or use the Firefox “no script” add-on.

We’ll keep you posted as things develop over on Twitter.
