Verizon Wireless has unveiled its MiFi 2200 Intellgent Mobile Hotspot, a portable WiFi hotspot that comes with built-in mobile broadband.
The MiFi 2200 will let any device with WiFi capability connect to Verizon's wireless network from just about anywhere in the country.
The battery should last for about four hours when used actively, wit 40 hours of stand-by time.
The MiFi 2200 will hit the market on May 17th and should cost around $100 after a $50 Verizon rebate.
As for cost, the Mifi 2200 plan runs you $40 per month for 250MB. You can also buy a $60 per month plan which gives you 5GB.
If you don't want to be locked into a contract, you may also purchase a "Day Pass" for $15. Frankly, I don't know why Verizon will even bother with this option.
Still, this will be a handy little gadget once it becomes available!
