Kumo. It seemed like sort of a dumb name anyway. Now it looks like Microsoft‘s latest effort to dethrone Google will not be called Kumo, but will be called Bing instead.
It’s expected that Microsoft will announce the move at the D conference, which starts today out in California.
They may have already given us a sneak preview of the logo, though. As TechCrunch points out, they may have let it leak via their favicon earlier today.
It’s not bad looking, although Microsoft is rumored to be spending around $100 million on the marketing campaign for Bing, so really I expected it to be encased in platinum…
