A New Jersey company has developed “the world’s first sex robot.”
At the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas on Saturday, the negligee-wearing robot said “I love holding hands with you” when it could sense its creator touched its hand.
Yes, Roxxxy the robot girlfriend is here. It features special touch sensors at strategic locations and can even sense when it’s being moved. She cannot move on her own, though.
Douglas Hines, founder of New Jersey-based True Companion LLC, says Roxxxy the robot girlfriend is able to carry on simple conversations. The goal is to make the doll “someone” the owner can relate to.
“Sex only goes so far – then you want to be able to talk to the person,” Hines said.
The doll can already discuss Manchester United soccer, he said. It even snores.
Different personalities will be available for Roxxxy, including “Wild Wendy” and “Frigid Farrah” (boy, doesn’t that sound like fun?). The price tag will be in the $7,000 to $9,000 range, including the laptop that powers her. It should begin shipping in a few months.
