sun mingming Meet Sun Mingming: Worlds Tallest Basketball Player (Video)Ladies and gentelmen, meet Sun Mingming. At 7 feet, 9 inches tall, he is the world’s second tallest man...and the tallest ever to play professional basketball.

You may have seen Sun Mingming in his guest spot in the movie Rush Hour 3 - or perhaps in the documentary, “Anatomy of a Giant,” that aired on Discovery Health channel.

Hardly anyone has ever seen him play basketball, however.

The nearly-400-pound, 25-year-old Sun Mingming came to the U.S. back in 2005 and tried out for the NBA Draft. He wasn't selected due to his lack of stamina and mobility.

Another Chinese player, Yao Ming, is currently the NBA's tallest at 7 feet, 6 inches.
