Meet Eliza Kruger, Mark Sanchez’s Alleged 17-Year-Old Girlfriend

Is Mark Sanchez robbing the cradle?  It sure sounds that way based on a story over at Deadspin.

The New York Jets quarterback is allegedly having a steamy little tryst with Eliza Kruger, a 17-year-old high school girl.  Deadspin identified her only as E.K., but the New York Post has revealed her identity.

It seems Eliza has been bragging on Facebook that she “hooked up” with Sanchez and that he’s been texting her ever since.

According to Deadspin, Eliza Kruger says she met Sanchez at the Manhattan nightclub Lavo on New Year’s Eve, where he came over, flirted with her, and tried to get her BlackBerry number.

“You know I’m 17, right,” she reportedly told Sanchez.

Sanchez allegedly replied, “Well, we can still talk. But I can’t see you until you’re 18.”

To which Eliza then responded, “Actually, 17 is legal in New York.”

Then, it was on like Donkey Kong, according to Kruger, whose father Konrad “Chip” Kruger is a partner in the Stamford, Connecticut financial firm Five Mile Capital Partners.  Court documents also show that he received a $48 million bonus and deferred-compensation package when he left Greenwich Capital in 2000.

Eliza Kruger bragged to her friends on Facebook that Sanchez had been texting her (see image below from Deadspin – click to enlarge)…

“We went back to his place in Jersey after dinner. He lives on a golf course. There was a big storm,” Eliza told Deadspin.

When a Deadspin reporter asked her if they had “hooked up,” the high school senior said, “Yeah.”

A Deadspin editor then looked into the legality of the whole matter, replying that the age of sexual consent in New Jersey is “16. I checked.”

“He’s a really nice guy, you know,” Eliza says. “He’s one of the kindest people, and he’s a genuine person.”

A spokesperson for the New York Jets organization says that the team will not comment on Mark Sanchez’s personal life. Sanchez has not yet commented on the matter.
