Here’s one of the nastiest hits you’ll ever see in the National Football League.
Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub lost his helmet and a piece of his ear following an illegal hit from Denver Broncos defender Joe Mays yesterday.
“I felt fine,” Schaub said. “I just lost a piece of my ear. I was bleeding and my helmet came off. So I had to come out for a play, but I was fine.”
That marked the second consecutive illegal hit Schaub took in the third quarter of the Texans’ 31-25 win over the Broncos.
