Is your Zune frozen? There seems to be some sort of random bug shutting down many 30GB Zunes around the world on this New Year’s Eve, causing a massive Zune crash.
Early this morning, a bunch of Zune 30′s just shut down and stopped working. There is no official word on this problem yet but there may be some sort of “gadget Y2K” bug actually taking place.
Fan boards and Zune support forums worldwide are all pretty much saying the same thing….around 2AM this morning, the Zune 30′s all apparently reset themselves and wouldn’t restart.
Microsoft is sure to be bombarded with phone calls from people having Zune problems. We’ll update you as more as details come in.
