“Ice cream! Get your ice cream here! Popsicles! Marijuana!”
Yes, another Maryland resident has done our home state proud.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office this week arrested a man who had an unusual side business.
Police busted Alexander Hoskins, 20, of Waldorf, after it was discovered that he had been selling marijuana out of an ice cream truck.
Sheriff’s deputies said a tip led them to make the arrest, and they found cash and bags of pot stuffed in the suspect’s underwear.
“He really was selling ice cream — ice cream or marijuana. You can take your pick with this guy,” said Diane Richardson of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said Hoskins had been selling to teens and young adults and was enjoying some pretty hot sales, thanks to word of mouth.
He is currently out of jail on bond.
