A woman living in South Florida woman whose husband left her after winning the lottery was about to be evicted from her home and find her belongings on the street Tuesday evening when a local moving company swooped in and saved the day.

Yes, Christmas came a little early for Donna Campbell.

Originally, Campbell had been given ’til Tuesday to leave the home she once shared with her husband, Arnim Ramdass (I can only hope it’s pronounced “rammed ass“).

Ramdass and his other airline mechanic buddies won $19 million in a lottery jackpot back in June, 2007. He never told he about the winnings and left her instead.

Ramdass started skipping mortgage payments and their home went into foreclosure.  They’re still married but he has disappeared.

“I have no idea where he is,” Campbell said.

Campbell spent all day on Tuesday packing belongings, including pictures and clothing. She was prepared to leave her furniture and other large items behind as she had nowhere to go and can’t afford to pay for storage.

Allied Van Lines moving company saw her story on a local television news program and immediately offered to move her things and store them at their facility at no charge.

“That would be wonderful. Thank you very much. You made my Christmas,” Campbell said on the phone when she received the news.

She still intends to divorce Ramdass, sue him for her half of the jackpot and serve him with papers, but she can’t find him.

“I intend to find him. I will keep trying until I get him,” Campbell said.
