A man from Georgetown, Kentucky and his wife are new multi-millionaires thanks to Powerball.
Rob Anderson and his wife Tuesday Anderson came forward on Wednesday (that’s one of the most confusing sentences I’ve ever written…whew!) They were the winners of the $128.6 million December 26th jackpot.
They were handed their winning check in a press conference held at the Kentucky Lottery headquarters in Louisville.
Here’s the kicker. Anderson says he bought the winning ticket for $3.00 on Christmas Eve as a mistake. He meant to purchase three $1.00 tickets as stocking stuffers.
The error seems to have worked out in his favor.
Yesterday, the owner of the store where Anderson bought the winning ticket received an $88,000 bonus check.
