It’s always entertaining to see what various pop divas demand to have from the various venues at which they perform.
Various entertainers usually include these so-called “riders” in their contracts with each venue, and they’re often quite amusing.
Take Madonna, for example. While the Material Girl’s list of demands are nowhere near as excessive as some that we’ve seen in the past, her list is more than a little eccentric.
For instance, not only does Madonna travel with a 200-person entourage and 30 bodyguards, she also needs her own team of professional chefs, a yoga instructor, an acupuncturist, and an on-site dry cleaner.
She also must have 20 international phone lines installed in her hotel room. On top of that, She requires that all furniture be removed from her hotel rooms and replaced with her own pieces that she has shipped in.
She must also have special fabrics draped over every piece of furniture as well as special white and pink roses that must have their stems cut to six inches.
Why must Madonna have all these things? It seems the 53-year-old diva needs to feel as though she’s at home while on tour. If she doesn’t, her stage show suffers as a result.
