Hey, Loch Ness Monster, there’s a new sheriff in town. England’s very own version of the strange beast, dubbed “Bownessie” by locals, has been spotted and photographed by a kayaker and his cellphone. It was spotted in Lake Windermere and is making waves all over the internet.
The new picture shows several humps rising above the surface of the lake and it’s being called the best evidence captured to date of Bownessie. It’s also very similar to some alleged photos of the original Loch Ness Monster.
Tom Pickles, 24, snapped the eerie picture.
“Each hump was moving in a rippling motion, and it was swimming fast,” Pickles said of the Loch Ness Monster-like beast. “Its skin was like a seal’s but its shape was completely abnormal–it’s not like any animal I’ve ever seen before.”
