Former teen idol Leif Garrett was arrested on Monday in L.A. for possession of a controlled substance.
The Los Angeles County Sherrif’s Department says that the bust went down at 11:20 a.m. at the Metrolink station in downtown L.A.
Garrett was taken into custody, then jailed. He was released early this morning.
Ironically, Garrett was nailed on the Metro Red Line in 2006, when he was caught for allegedly riding without a ticket, then it was discovered that he was carrying some heroin and Quaaludes. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for that incident.
Garrett is set to appear in court on February 24.
