The latest round of layoffs continued today when Adobe announced that it was letting 600 employees go. Even mighty Google has begun bracing for hard economic times.
The recession is forcing Adobe to lower its sales forecasts for the next 2 quarters. Is it any wonder that they canceled their booth at Macworld? Some of the biggest names in the industry are suffering now, it seems.
This brings the TechCrunch Layoff Tracker up to 76,000 tech jobs lost since late August (cheery thought, I know). Adobe joins Leapfrog, which announced on Monday it will cut seventy people and Trutap, which will let 25 people go and also wants to sell what's left of the company.
