NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was arrested late Sunday after authorities report that he fled from the scene of an accident.
Taylor was arrested in Dade County, Florida for “leaving scene of an accident/property damage.”
L.T. was brought to a local police station, where he was booked, had his mugshot taken and was later released on $500 bond.
Police say that, despite his eyes being bloodshot in his mugshot, Lawrence Taylor, who has had some drug problems in the past, was coherent when he was arrested and officers on the scene did not feel compelled to do a field sobriety test.
Police also report that, when they found Taylor, he was standing near his car, which had a front tire missing – meaning that Taylor apparently drove several miles on just the axle!
