Lady Gaga will tour without Kanye West

Lady Gaga said on Friday that she and Kanye West made a joint decision to cancel their "Fame Kills" tour, but she will still go on her own tour soon even though Kanye is laying low.

"It was a mutual decision," Lady Gaga announced at the Billboard Women in Music Event, where she took home 2009's Rising Star award.

"Kanye's going to take some time off. But the good news is that I'm going on tour in a few weeks."

Lori Ann Gibson, who is Lady Gaga's choreographer, recently said on her Twitter page that "creative differences" caused the tour's abrupt cancellation.

Live Nation announced the cancellation of the joint tour on Thursday and said refunds would be issued.
