An Irish radio station has Lady GaGa fans in a furor after running an ad showing the popular singer dead with a sheet over her, apparently having been “speared” by Britney Spears.
104FM is one of the hottest radio stations in Dublin but its new ad has Lady Gaga fans seething. GaGa gets gruesomely killed in a back alley in one of iRadio’s new print ads from ad agency Bloom in Dublin.
The print ad (above) shows a woman’s body under a sheet with blood oozing forth and a caption that reads, “When you play great music back to back someone is gong to get hurt.” There is also blood on the wall behind the body and a woman’s leg is sticking out from under the canvas. The viewer is left to assume that the leg belongs to Lady GaGa.
The headline, “Britney Spears Lady Gaga,” is meant to be a play on words. It’s meant to be read Britney spears Lady Gaga.
This is really just, distasteful and certainly doesn’t want to make the reader tune in to the station.
The company also recently ran an ad stating, “Culture Clubs the Village People,” which shows The Village People dead at the hands of Culture Club. Hilarious. You can view that ad below.
So you can relax Lady GaGa fans, she is NOT dead, although this ad should be killed ASAP.
