What will make a video go viral? Sometimes, it's impossible to know.
A sure recipe for viral success, however, would seem to be the President of the U.S. having shoes thrown at him by an angry Iranian.
The video below of an irate man throwing his shoes at President George W. Bush during a Baghdad press conference this past weekend is certainly not going to be forgotten any time soon.
Did the President even HAVE any security over there? A journalist had to take down the assailant. The video is already taking on a life of its own, having gone viral through YouTube.
The video has been watched over 5.5 million times and has been embedded in more than 640 websites.
In less than 12 hours, the clip went from 2 million to 5.5 million views and could even beat the Obama victory speech video in terms of viral reach in a 48-hour period.
