Remember Therese Ziemann? She’s that Wisconsin woman who, along with three other women, tied up her cheating lover last August and glued his penis to his stomach.
Ziemann, her sister, another lover and the wife of the philandering man wife were all sentenced on Tuesday to one year of probation and community service for taking part in the sticky revenge scheme. The judge also imposed and then stayed jail sentences for the women, 60 days for Ziemann and 30 days for the other three. The women would now only server the prison terms if they violate their probation.
The women were only going to confront the man about his cheating ways. Ziemann’s decision to use the bottle of nail glue on the man was “a stupid spur-of-the-minute decision,” she said on Tuesday.
She only overreacted because he had tried to contact her 12-year-old daughter.
“I had just found my daughter’s number in his cell phone,” she said outside a Calumet County courtroom. “It was just a warning from me to him, to stay away from the kids.”
Ziemann, who has six children, acknowledged that she lured the 37-year-old cheater to a motel room in July of 2009 after the man’s wife called her and informed her that he was also seeing other women.
She first tied him up, making him think he was in for some kinky play, but then she texted the other three women who were waiting outside.
She slapped the man, cut off his underwear, then used the glue to attach his penis to his stomach. The other three women showed up at the scene and shouted at him and verbally abused him. He managed to work his way free and the women took off.
Fortunately, the glue didn’t cause “permanent physical injury,” said Calumet County district attorney Ken Kratz.
The man has not been identified in order to protect his identity as a victim of sexual assault. The wife has not been named for the same reason, as her name would lead to his.
All four women were charged with being party to false imprisonment. Ziemann was also hit with battery and fourth-degree sexual assault charges. She made a deal and pleaded no contest to the battery charge and a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.
Her sister and the other lover also agreed to plead no contest to a lesser charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Michelle Belliveau, 43, Ziemann’s sister, told the judge she was “extremely sorry” and apologized specifically to the victim.
“We got caught up in something bad,” she told him tearfully.
Wendy Sewell, 44, apologized as well. She said she only wanted to confront the man by catching him cheating.
“I wanted to say what I got to say and leave and never look back,” said Sewell.
We’re betting this guy learned his lesson the hard way!
