Reality TV star Kim Kardashian was flour-bombed last night while working the red carpet in West Hollywood.
Just before 8 p.m. local time, after posing for some photographers at an event for her new fragrance, True Reflection, at the London Hotel, Kardashian was speaking with the house crew when a woman walked up to her and dumped a bag of flour on Kim’s head.
“She came from Kim’s left, with a Zip-Lock baggie,” a staffer said. “The girl just kind of showed up on the red carpet.”
According to various accounts, no one attempted to stop the woman as she approached Kim.
“She went in between Kim and her publicist and started dumping the bag on Kim’s head and shoulders,” the staffer recounted.
Only a tiny amount of the powder actually touched Kardashian, with most of it landing on her head and shoulders.
“She was shocked,” the witness said of Kim’s reaction. “And, as soon as it happened, she put her head down and security grabbed her and they rushed her off into the elevators.”
As for the mysterious flour bomber, she attempted to quickly exit the scene, but was stopped and escorted away by security.
After about 10 minutes, Kardashian went back to chatting it up with the media and joking about the incident.
While the motive for the flour assault is unknown, late in 2011, someone also flour-bombed Kardashia’s friend, Jonathan Cheban.
At the time, that assailant said they did it for Kris Humphries, Kim’s ex-husband.
