With three kids myself, I’m always looking for new, fun, and safe things for them to try on the computer. With KidZui, the internet is now a place for kids.
KidZui 4 is the newest web browser for kids.
Available for Windows, Mac and as a Firefox add-on, KidZui allows for easy navigation through categories and extra-big pictures for kids. Using a custom “Zoom User Interface,” kids can access all sorts of kid-friendly material without needing to actually type in a search query.
Initially created in 2006 and finally released to the general public last year, KidZui was intended for children ages 3 through 12. Kids can also create online profiles, dubbed “Zuis”, and earn points by surfing the internet.
For parents, KidZui can also provide some extra peace-of-mind. From the website:
KidZui eliminates the need for parents to constantly watch over their kids’ shoulder, when they are online.
Parents know what their kids are doing online and they can connect by sharing content. KidZui sends a weekly email that tells you what your kids are doing online. The KidZui parent account lets you share content and set limits.
KidZui is totally free of charge. You can download KidZui 4 here.
