F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
Kevin Michael Connolly, the amazing photographer who was born without legs, appeared on NBC's Today show on Wednesday to talk about his new book, "Double Take".
You see, in 2006, while on a solo trip through Europe, Connolly grew tired of people staring at him so he decided to take an 11 week international trip over the summer of 2007. Along the way, he snapped photographs of people’s reactions upon seeing him.
He visited 15 countries, through New Zealand, Europe, Japan, and back to the U.S. He came back with an amazing collection of photographs of people’s reactions to him from around the world and posted them on the internet. His work got immediate attention and he has now turned it into a best-selling book.
Kevin Michael Connolly is a real inspiration for all those who are discouraged by their physical disabilities. He is also an extreme skier and he won a silver medal at the X Games. It was that prize money that helped him organize his world tour.
It's truly an amazing story. You can check out the book below.
