On Saturday, one of the most historic horse races of the year will take place as the 137th running of the Kentucky Derby gets under way.
The 2011 Kentucky Derby is scheduled for 6:24 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 7 at Louisville, Kentucky’s Churchill Downs.

The Kentucky Derby Festival has a full lineup of celebrities ready to appear at this year’s Pegasus Parade and Celebrity Luncheon.
Among the guests to be at the events are actor and comedian Tracy Morgan of NBC’s 30 Rock (UPDATE: Morgan has cancelled his appearance); Kate Gosselin of TLC’s Kate Plus 8; actress, singer and songwriter Raven-Symone; Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of VH1′s What Chilli Want; and 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan. Actress Vicki Gunvalson of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County will appear at the luncheon.
Both events will also feature the four Congressional Medal of Honor recipients who will be grand marshals for the parade. Bellarmine University basketball coach Scott Davenport will attend the luncheon. Davenport and the team, which won this year’s NCAA Division II national championship, will be honorary grand marshals.
Saturday Night Live alum Cheri Oteri; actor, producer and playwright Eugene Pack; poker legend Robert Williamson III; and actress Jennifer Tilly have all been added to the luncheon guest list. Williamson will also ride in the Pegasus Parade.
Oteri, Pack, and Tilly are also guests of the Kentucky Center’s “Celebrity Autobiography” event Thursday. Williamson is a host of the Oaks Eve Derby Poker Championship on Thursday at the Louisville Palace.
