Keifer Sutherland: Highest Paid Actor on Television

Kiefer Sutherland makes $550,000 per episode of 24, where he portrays lead character, Jack Bauer. That means that "Jack" gets about $13 million a series.

Who cam in second place? House star Hugh Laurie gets $400,000 per episode of the medical drama.

Next up? Desperate Housewives stars Eva Longoria Parker, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Teri Hatcher each fetch $399,000 per episode.

Get this, however, the highest earner on television overall is Charlie Sheen. He gets $864,500 per episode of Two and a Half Men on CBS, which he also co-produces.

24 fans aren't out of the woods, however, as the show could be ending soon, as it's quite expensive to produce.

Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at FOX Broadcasting has said: "We haven’t made any decision whether it’s back or not. It’s going to come down to a business decision. It’s not an inexpensive show on the network books, and we also want to finish strong. This is not a show we want to prop up. It will be something we’ll have to deal with over the next few months."
