The American Idol Season 9 Top 8 Girls took the stage last night for a spot in the final 12.
Katie Stevens took the judges advice and sang a “younger” song…Kelly Clarkson‘s “Breakaway”. Still, though, she disappointed the judges.
They all agreed that Katie has a wonderful voice but she underwhelmed the crowd.
Simon Cowell said that Katie doesn’t know what type of artist she wants to be yet, even though she does follow their advice every week. Despite the fact that Katie “sucked the energy out of it a little bit,” Simon still gave her 10 out of 10 for effort.
