Kanye West VMA Meltdown 2009 (VIDEO)

Kanye West is an idiot.  He’s causing a commotion again, this time for taking the microphone away from Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for the “Best Female Video” award and saying that Beyonce should have won.

After Swift, who looked stunned, beat Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Beyonce for the award, she got up on stage and accepted the award.

As she was going through her list of “thank you’s”, Kanye West ran up on the stage, took her microphone away, and said Beyonce had been robbed because her “Single Ladies” video was the best.

“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!”

Swift, 19, stood shocked…holding onto her trophy as cameras cut to Beyonce looking stunned in the crowd. MTV then immediately cut to break.

At least Beyonce had the decency to give Taylor Swift her moment in the sun back later in the night.

Kanye has since apologized on his blog, but his antics have gotten old and he is no longer relevant. Hopefully, he has been banned from all future VMA shows.

“I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment,” he wrote in part. “Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade… I will apologize to Taylor.”
