kanye westKanye West did not die in a car accident. He’s just the latest victim of a false internet rumor that has spread virally like wildfire across the net.

The rumor started on Wednesday morning and claims that a police officer saw Kanye West die in a car accident in Los Angeles in which a red Ferrari and white Porsche collided.

The false news story rumor claims that there was “a bizarre car crash in Los Angeles involving two luxury cars early this morning [left] rapper Kanye West dead, a second injured, a third arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter and a fourth person was detained by police. A Los Angeles Police Department officer witnessed the wreck and saw a red Ferrari and a white Porsche ‘spinning out of control’ on Jamboree Road between Bison Avenue and East Bluff Drive.”

Kanye’s girlfriend, Amber Rose, has tweeted a response on Twitter to all those twittering “Kanye West RIP.”

@DaRealAmberRose: “This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much.”

“Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic. It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous. U wouldn’t want someone to say that about u. Or someone u love it’s not funny.[sic]”
