WikiLeaks Julian Assange

It looks as though WikiLeaks is preparing for another earth-shattering release, and this time the information will be damaging enough that an executive at a major U.S. bank will resign, says founder Julian Assange.

Many have speculated that WikiLeaks may be targeting Bank of America in its next information dump, as Assange told Forbes recently that the site will target at least one major U.S. bank. In 2009, Assange said he had in his possession a 5 GB hard drive from a Bank of America exec. Coincidentally, B of A recently stopped processing WikiLeaks payments.

In an interview with the U.K. Times, Julian Assange stated:

“We don’t want the bank to suffer unless it’s called for. But if its management is operating in a responsive way there will be resignations.”

The Securities and Exchange Commission is already said to be preparing itself for a massive amount of public backlash should there be a WikiLeaks release of classified bank documents.

Assange has given no timetable as to when to expect the next release, but it is believed that it will occur within the next few weeks.
