RadarOnline has a few photos of the incident and suggests that the breakdown began after the Dexter actress received a phone call. Stiles arrived at the airport, looking like she was barely keeping herself together.
As she was waiting outside, she dropped her head down into her hands and cried.
We certainly hope everything’s OK with her!
In lighter news, Stiles recently sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about working on Dexter.
Stiles, who joined the Showtime series in its fifth season, plays Lumen Ann Pierce, a rescued victim-turned-hero who helps Dexter Morgan in eliminating those criminals that manage to work the system and escape punishment.
“It was great, I was thrilled to be a part of it. I came in in the fifth season, so it already was a well-oiled machine at that point,” Stiles said, joking that lead actor Michael C. Hall isn’t a serial killer in real life.
In one scene, the Emmy-nominated actress got to exact revenge on her would-be killer, an on-screen event that she later told the L.A. Times she was thrilled about because it helped her tap into particular emotional areas that are normally repressed in civilized society.
“[Not the urge to kill]…But emotions like hate or anger or revenge,” she explained.
She went on to discuss the “kill room”, a meticulously prepared location where Dexter disposes of his victims.
“It’s pretty exhilarating, partially because of the history of the show. There’s a kind of sacredness to the way that they’re filmed. Everyone’s very much on alert because of the safety issues, but, yeah, that tradition … I felt privileged to be a part of it.”
Be sure to catch Julia in season 5 of Dexter, which just came out on DVD and Blu-Ray this past Tuesday, August 16.
Season 6 of Dexter begins October 2, 2011 on Showtime.
